Aims
The constitution of the Society sets out our aims and objects as follows:
- The study of the history, archaeology, antiquities and folklore of Carmarthenshire in particular and West Wales in general.
- To encourage public interest in local history.
- To encourage the preservation of local records, antiquities and objects of historical and archaeological interest.
- To co-operate with other bodies having similar interests.
- To arrange lectures and excursions to places of historical interest.
- To publish the results of local historical research in the Society's historical magazine, The Carmarthenshire Antiquary.
- To take any other steps which may be desirable in achieving the objects set out above.
